My Mother
to my beloved mother
by mz.ladner
She’s funny, she’s sweet and she’s tough,
My mother has been through a lot of stuff.
She’s been a daughter, sister, wife, parent, and an aunt,
She’ll show you she can do anything you say she can’t.
She is as strong as a tree, as gentle as the breeze,
And as lovely as the flowers beneath my knees.
She hugs me tight and tells me she loves me,
It is so powerful everyone can see.
She is there for me whether up or down,
When I do something wrong she’ll never frown.
Just tells me it will be okay,
And she’s there to wipe the tears away.
So that’s why I love her very much,
Cause she holds me in a mother’s clutch.
